1) How fast can I get my real estate license?
The whole process from education to license in hand will take approximately
3–4 months. Fingerprinting and background check can take up to 16 weeks.

2) What are the basic steps involved in getting my real estate license?
- Enroll with Kaplan in the Success Package Pre-licensing Course.
- Call Denver location to arrange for fingerprinting and CBI services.
May also be done at local sheriffs office (very important to do
immediately; can take up to 16 weeks).
- Pass Kaplan final exams and receive a REC 33 certificate to be able
to sit for Licensing Exam with PSI.
- Attend Kaplan Exam Prep; schedule to take exam with PSI within 35
business days. Online at www.psiexams.com,
or call 1-800-733-9267.
- Upon passing licensing exam and receiving results from CBI, then apply
for license through CREC. License application can be printed from state
website www.dora.state.co.us.

4) What content is covered on the licensing exam? What percentage
would I need correct to pass?
The content on the licensing exam comes from the above courses.
The Colorado Broker Licensing Exam:
Offered by PSI/ www.psiexams.com $71 exam fee.
2 sections; National portion has 80 multiple-choice questions. State
portion has 74 multiple-choice questions. 3 hours and 50 minutes are
provided to complete exam, and a score of 75% or higher is required
on both parts to pass.

CE will depend on the amount of hours attempting; 8 credit hours, for
example, would be approximately 8 hours of material.

Course tuition ranges from $799$1,099. Licensing Exam with PSI
is $71 and fingerprinting with school is $15.

You can take it again; another $71 charge will apply.

14) How do I get a license to help people apply for loans?
All mortgage brokers conducting business in Colorado must now complete
40 hours of pre-license education and pass the 100-question state licensing
exam in order to obtain their mortgage broker license.

15) What is the average age for your students?
It varies; we get students anywhere from 18 to 50 years of age and
even older.

16) Are your courses accredited?
They are not accredited, which means they do not transfer to the college
level. But they are fully approved for real estate licensing in the
state of Colorado.

17) Do you have financial assistance? Do you honor the GI Bill?
We work with Sallie Mae to provide student loans. Please call the school
to see if you qualify.
